Plan the falls
We establish finished levels and where surface water will travel before the first load is removed.

Excavate
Soft or unsuitable ground is stripped out. The required depth depends on the site and how the drive will be used.

Build the base
Type 1 stone is installed and compacted in layers to form a stable foundation rather than a thin cosmetic bed.

Lay & restrain
Edges are fixed, the bedding layer is screeded and the selected blocks are laid and cut to the agreed pattern.

Compact & hand over
The surface is jointed, compacted, cleaned and walked with you before the job is considered complete.

Questions worth asking.
How long does a new driveway take?+
Most domestic driveways take roughly one to two working weeks once work starts. Access, excavation volume, drainage and weather can change the programme, so timing is confirmed after the site visit.
Will water run onto the road or towards the house?+
It should not. Falls and drainage are planned before laying. Depending on the site, that can mean permeable areas, channels or a soakaway within the property.
Can you work around existing walls, gates and planting?+
Usually, yes. We measure those constraints during the visit and explain what can stay, what needs protection and whether any levels must change.
